April 2015 - Spring is Here--We’re Celebrating our Thirtieth Year, Too! |
The Lore of the Loire
A lure will attract a fat trout A lyre is a musical instrument A leer is a special kind of smile A lair is a place that dragons hide But the Loire Is a Green Valley in France… Where wineries make Vouvray from Chenin Blanc We made a varietal Chenin Blanc in 2013 Why? Isn’t that just an ordinary white? Well, only if you make it with ordinary intentions When fully ripe and treated with your best, Wow! This is really a delicious wine in the right hands. We think you’ll like it. |
Older Reds—The back story
Some people have noticed that Salamandre has some fully aged
Red wines still in inventory…dating back to 2006 & 2007.
Isn’t that a little odd? Well, yes it is…on purpose.
At the risk of sounding corny, we like our big red
Wines to be strutting their best stuff when we sell them.
Some of our wines, especially those with a Cabernet backbone
Take years to soften in the bottle.
It’s disappointing to open one too soon, and it’s often
Impractical for our customers to save them for 5 or 6 years.
We think you’ll instantly pounce of some of these…
Like the 2007 Coyote Cuvée…once you taste them.

Our trees are magnificent, the wines delightful, and the hospitality superb.
However, your phone may not work in our canyon.
You really don’t want to spend a day exploring this curvy road.
If this is your first visit, please view the directions so you don’t spend time wandering in our hills instead of tasting our wines.
